2 different types of laminate in basement?

The only thing about a dark laminate would be it darkening the area, and make it look smaller. If I were you, I would either try to match it as close as possible, or go with a shade lighter. Why can't you look on the back of the laminate for the manufacturer, and go online and see if they still make that shade? I'll bed they do. Good luck. ♥
