I have a 3 month old son. (14 weeks) He started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. Last night, he fell asleep at 11pm and woke up at 2:15 am screaming like I've never heard him scream before. I changed his diaper, fed him, burped him, and rocked him back to sleep. As soon as I put him back down, he started screaming again. I picked him back up, he fell asleep in my arms, I put him down, he instantly started screaming again. This continued until about 5am when instead of putting him in his binet, I just lay him down on his boppy pillow. I talked to the nurse at his Dr's office earlier this evening and asked if my son was congested or had a fever or high temp, which he didn't. The advice given to me was to get a sling or carrier and just keep him close for now since that's what seems to make him happy, and even to let him sleep in my bed with me. Also to give him baby Tylenol, and to take him to the ER if he was still fussy tonight. Well, I didn't get the Tylenol because I'm not comfortable giving my baby medicine unless he's seen by his Dr. Well, now, he is very stuffy, has clear snot and white boogers draining from his nose, his eyes are red and he's rubbing them a lot. He's no longer fussy, and doesn't have a fever or high temp, but he actually does seem sick now. The after hours call center for his Dr. is not answering. Should I take my son to the ER or wait until morning to get a hold of his Dr.?

I can understand your frustration, my mother is an alcoholic and is also very paranoid. She too can be very mean and unpredictable if she feels no one is catering to her or supporting her in every way. I have swam oceans trying to help her from giving her a place to live when she became homeless to taking care of her (im a nurse) after her many overdoses and she always comes back with some sob story about how no one will help her and she was left in the streets by me. Ive even had family friends call me and ask why I wont help her because she calls them and lies so I understand how hard this is on you. You want to help and your good intentions are being twisted in her mind. Remember that you can only give so much and while it is hard to swallow because shes your mom, you cannot help ppl that dont want to put in the effort themselves. Trust me, I did everything for my mom (I even took custody of my siblings at 19) and still it wasnt enough to make her shape up. You have done the right thing by offering your help when she is ready but you cannot let her issues affect your family. You have a child to care for that is number 1. My mom also blames my Dad for her probs because he cheated but you live and learn and get on with life so her dwelling wont help anything but she wont care. You just have to give her space and see what happens but really try to calm your mind and know you have done all that you can. If she seems suicidal or you can prove that she is not capable you could commit her to treatment and they may be able to help her, it hurts but honestly if it saves her it is worth it. Why are they making household products with lead in the cables?

I have bought a vacuum cleaner and a CD player that had caution tags on them warning of lead in the cables. They say the lead is known to cause cancer to the state of California, and there was no warning on the box when I bought the products. The warning label says to wash hands after use. It also said something about reproductive harm. I really don't get it, but it's probably something like the warning tags on mattresses that say it's a crime to remove them, and I should just ignore it. But, it really irks me. Why do they sell these products? Should I be concerned? I mean, I really don't want to have to return these products. When Im really cold because of the temp. Surrounding me, and I'm sitting down, all my toes from both feet turns really dark shade of blue . I men like If they didn't have life or something it goes away when I stw d up and walk around. Also help when I get out of the cold room.( usually a temperature of 24 degrees celcius is what triggers this. It also happens in my hands but less noticeAble. My fingernails get all purple and it hurt ALOT. And then when iget out of the cold into a warm or hot environment, my hands turns red, sting abut and hen resume normal color. Disabled, planning to move from grandmothers to mothers?

Okay, here is my situation. I am 17 years old and have muscular dystrophy. I am in a wheelchair, but still have a large range of movement and am of sound mind. My 18th birthday is steadily approaching and I've been waiting to move in with my mother, who is completely willing to take care of me. The only reason I live with my grandma is because as a child my mother could not financially support me. Now that I'm older, she is ready to do this. My mother still has custody over me; my grandma only has a notebook paper signed by my mom stating that she has permission to take me to the doctors, and it's not even laminated. Should I take any precaution in moving? Am I just paranoid? Either way, I'm still afraid that my grandma will try to pull something.

After my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air, a friend and I tried to buy more refrigerant, but the hoses wouldn't hook up correctly. Apparently the area to add the coolant is smaller than the hose. After talking with a few friends, they believe that maybe I have the old R-12 system and not the 134. But after calling a mechanic to get a quote on converting it, they said that a 1996 Bronco should have a 134 because the cut off date was 1994-1995. Who is right? My dog has a tapeworm..could I have one too?

Okay so there's this guy I really like and we're both about 18. We've gotten to be really good friends over the past few months. Nighttrain has it right. Sturgis is just a bike rally. It's more just a big commercial right now. It's been around for like 60 years, it's only significance is it's one of the most popular bike rallies in the states. Milwaukee, Wisconsin would be more considered the "home" of motorcycling. Harley Davidson started in Milwaukee over 100 years ago. In a little wooden shack. They're still built here, but they do have factories in a couple other cities now. They had their 100th birthday party in Milwaukee a few years ago and it was a really huge party. People are riding all over Milwaukee every weekend. So Milwaukee would probably be considered a major city in the roots of motorcycling in the states.

Go to the hardware store and buy some stuff called Home Defense. It comes in a big jug with a spray handle. It costs about $10. You spray it in the corners and along the baseboard and ceiling. It's a clear liquid and doesn't stain. Spray the entire house and you won't see a spider for at least 6-9 months.

I have a bone infection in my foot, and nasty yellow goo coming from top of foot...anyone dealt with this?

i have had a crazy couple of months with my right foot. I first dropped my pda on top of my foot, which was an injury that i thought was healing...until i broke my ankle 2 months later.now its been a month of a boot and another month of therapy.when i got my boot off i told my orthopedic i was more worried about the top of my foot not the ankle since i had lost the movement of my toes..he said ohhh its just damage you probably did when u broke your ankle do therapy for a month and we will see how it is.so a month of therapy went by, (to which my therapist was completely confused by the top of my foot) and i return to see my ortho and he has enough nerve to say "whats wrong with the top of your foot did u get a bug bite?) you can only guess how i responded.After an mri i am immediately admitted to hospital with a bone infection and there for a week, now home with 6 wks of iv antibiotics...now the top of my foot is draining...this is soo gross and i am completely freaking out. i am a young healthy athletic woman with beautifull feet and i dont wanna loose any function. my QUESTION: if anyone has had treatment for the same bone infection how did it end for yah....or anyone with knowledge of this share please. im trying to absorb everything i can.or if there is certain things i should be asking my doctors??? thankyou

the only thing i cant suggest is- those night pads, try putting two pads on covering from front to back or if you say you get up in the middle of the night, try tampons and wake up and change it. my period is pretty heavy and the night pads work really well, they are huge.haha. good luck, hope i helped :)

The only thing about a dark laminate would be it darkening the area, and make it look smaller. If I were you, I would either try to match it as close as possible, or go with a shade lighter. My son is 7 and he does ramble on and on at times, and I try to be patient but it does grate on my nerves. And it does give me headaches, too! He goes on and on about a Spongebob episode, giving me the full 30 minute recap (even if I saw the episode with him!)and then goes on to tell me every possible thing, and if he thinks i'm not listening he asks me to repeat what he just said. the boy can go on for hours and I cant get a word in edgewise if I try. Will this diet be effective?

I'm drastically cutting down on carbs but I really am having trouble doing the, say, induction phase of atkins with 20 or less per day. When I take money and time into account I can't eliminate certain things entirely. If I were to limit myself at 30 or 40 carbs per day, however, most of which are, of course, coming from vegetables or meats or maybe some fruits, would this still be an effective way to lose some weight? It took me three years to get over my ex. I was heart broken when we split up and I can honestly say it took years for the scares to heal. I'm still single but am happy with myself and am looking forward to a great future. I've started a business and have a great job so am really busy which helps loads. Try to avoid all the going out and getting drunk, messing about with other guys because non of that works. You have to make a decision to do something and focus on achieving that goal. If you have no personal goals you'll feel like theirs a big void in your life. Im trying to be as honest with you as I can, and drawing on my own experiences, when I decided to take life by the horns everything inside started to change for the better. Things will not change over nite, you have to take baby steps but like I said also have a goal to keep you busy which will also build up your self worth.
