Does Catholicism promote poverty?

God does provide, But, no we do not have to be poor. What God wants us to do is to help others in need. What good is all the money in this world if you loose your soul. You cannot take it with you. He wants us to be prosperous, look at all He has given us. He also wants to be charitable. God bless you.
