Calendar Event encoding?

I'm using the Calendar Event feature to send reminders in foreign language (Greek) encoding to the member groups. However since the Calendar changes by Yahoo some months ago, the event text sent by email is unreadable, though everything is displayed properly when Calendar management is used by the moderators. Has anyone encountered the same problem?
