I have a bone infection in my foot, and nasty yellow goo coming from top of foot...anyone dealt with this?

i have had a crazy couple of months with my right foot. I first dropped my pda on top of my foot, which was an injury that i thought was healing...until i broke my ankle 2 months later.now its been a month of a boot and another month of therapy.when i got my boot off i told my orthopedic i was more worried about the top of my foot not the ankle since i had lost the movement of my toes..he said ohhh its just damage you probably did when u broke your ankle do therapy for a month and we will see how it is.so a month of therapy went by, (to which my therapist was completely confused by the top of my foot) and i return to see my ortho and he has enough nerve to say "whats wrong with the top of your foot did u get a bug bite?) you can only guess how i responded.After an mri i am immediately admitted to hospital with a bone infection and there for a week, now home with 6 wks of iv antibiotics...now the top of my foot is draining...this is soo gross and i am completely freaking out. i am a young healthy athletic woman with beautifull feet and i dont wanna loose any function. my QUESTION: if anyone has had treatment for the same bone infection how did it end for yah....or anyone with knowledge of this share please. im trying to absorb everything i can.or if there is certain things i should be asking my doctors??? thankyou
